Le 28 août 2016, le programme international de volontariat Iva pour l’année 2016-2017 a son ouverture officielle avec une préparation séminaire organisé à tel-Aviv. Les nouveaux volontaires, principalement de l’Allemagne et la France, se sont réunis pour un séminaire de trois jours pour apprendre à connaître les uns les autres et de recevoir une introduction au pays d’Israël. Le principal objectif du séminaire était de fournir des informations de base sur la société israélienne, comme la société d’accueil volontaire pour la prochaine année.

Pour le premier séminaire, qui fait partie d’un programme pédagogique structurée, c’était important pour les participants d’acquérir des lignes directrices, des faits et des pensées à propos de la culture, à la société israélienne, l’histoire et la politique. De plus, parce que ce groupe de participants se réuniront à autres séminaires tout au long de l’année, l’aspect de la possibilité d’apprendre à connaître les uns les autres a été crucial. De plus, c’est extrêmement important d’avoir une bonne idée d’un groupe pédagogique, ce qui est intéressant dans tous les domaines variés. Ce besoin a été pris en compte en fonction de la configuration de méthodologie et, par conséquent, les activités ont été planifiés et exécutés en groupes mixtes.

L’ensemble du groupe de volontaires. Le séminaire a eu lieu à L’Institut Français à tel-Aviv. Le premier jour m. Sébastien Linden – coopération scientifique et universitaire attaché de l’Institut Français – a souhaité la bienvenue aux participants avec salutations chaleureuses. Après, deux des directeurs de programme iva, m. Matan Barel et m. Itamar Schwartz, a enseigné à propos d’Israël et sa diversité des populations à travers le service volontaire.

Puis, à la suite des ateliers ont été préparés et guidés par l’équipe sur des aspects tels que :  » qui suis-je et pourquoi j’ai choisi Israël pour mon service volontariat ? »,  » Qu’est-ce que les événements historiques, est-ce que je vois aussi important pour l’état d’Israël et de sa création ? »,  » Qu’est-ce que mon histoire personnelle selon ces aspects et comment puis-je augmenter ma prise de conscience et de la tolérance pour d’autres récits ? ». un rallye dans la ville de tel-Aviv a également été organisé pour les bénévoles à se familiariser avec elle-même de Tel Aviv Et obtenez un goût d’Israël.

Le deuxième soir, l’ambassade de France hébergé un cocktail, dîner à L’Institut Français pour les participants à ce séminaire et le personnel, aux côtés de iva avec des invités. Mme Barbara Wolffer, directeur de l’Institut Français à tel-Aviv, et l’honorable invité Mme Martina Wichmann-Bruche, conseiller à la tête du travail et des affaires sociales à l’ambassade d’Allemagne à tel-Aviv, aimablement accueilli les nouveaux bénévoles pour montrer leur soutien et leur Gratitude pour leur bénévolat à venir.

Le séminaire a conclu avec des réunions de groupe divisé par les placements et par la direction de l’iva
Coordonnateurs régionaux. C’était une chance pour les volontaires pour connaître leur nouvelle et plus significative. Personne de contact pour leur séjour en Israël. De plus, un hébreu crash course a été donné aux participants par un professeur de l’hébreu. Là, quelques mots et termes ont été enseignées aux volontaires afin qu’ils puissent acquérir les compétences linguistiques de base. À la fin, les volontaires ont été escortés jusqu’à leurs appartements dans différentes villes israéliennes, par l’équipe de coordonnateurs et séminaire.

Seminar Report
On August 28th 2016, the international program of the IVA for the volunteering year 2016-2017 had its official opening with a preparation seminar held in Tel-Aviv. The newly arrived volunteers, mainly from Germany and France, got together for a three days seminar in order to get to know each other and to receive an introduction to the country of Israel. The main purpose of the seminar was to provide basic information about the Israeli society as their host society for the forthcoming voluntary year. For the first seminar, which is part of a full structured pedagogical program, it was important for the participants to acquire guidelines, facts and thoughts about the Israeli culture, society, history and politics. Additionally, because this group of participants will meet at further seminars throughout the year, the aspect of giving the opportunity to get to know each other was crucial. Furthermore, this is extremely important to get a sense of a pedagogical group, which is interestingly diverse in every aspect. This need was taken into account according to the methodological configuration, and therefore the activities were planned and performed in mixed groups.

The seminar started with a general introduction of the IVA team, the content of the seminar and the
whole volunteer group. The seminar took place at the French Institute in Tel Aviv. On the first day Mr. Sébastien Linden – Scientific and Academic cooperation Attaché of the French institute – welcomed the participants with warm greetings. Afterwards, two of the IVA program managers, Mr. Matan Barel and Mr. Itamar Schwartz, lectured about Israel and its variety of populations through the voluntary service.

Then, following workshops were prepared and guided by the IVA team on aspects like: “Who am I and why did I choose Israel for my volunteering service?”, “What historical events do I see as important for the state of Israel and its creation?”, “What is my personal narrative according to these aspects and how can I increase my awareness and tolerance for other narratives?”. A city rally in Tel-Aviv was also organized in order for the volunteers to get familiar with Tel Aviv itself and get a taste of Israel. The second evening, the French Embassy kindly hosted a cocktail dinner at the French Institute for the seminar participants and the IVA staff, alongside with guests. Ms. Barbara Wolffer, Director of the French Institute in Tel-Aviv, and the honorable guest Ms. Martina Wichmann-Bruche, Counsellor Head of Labor and Social Affairs at the German Embassy in Tel-Aviv, kindly greeted the new volunteers to show their support and appreciation for their upcoming volunteer service.

The seminar concluded with group meetings divided by placements and by the guidance of the IVA
regional coordinators. It was a chance for the volunteers to get to know their new and most meaningful contact person for their stay in Israel. Additionally, a Hebrew crash course was given to the participants by an experienced Hebrew teacher. There, some useful words and terms were taught to the volunteers so that they can gain some basic language skills. At the end, the volunteers were escorted to their apartments in different Israeli cities, by the IVA coordinators and seminar team.
